@Jeffrey Walther

Hey Jeffrey. After going back and forth for about a year I got licensed as an agent so I have access to the MLS. I'd be happy to help you value your home and get a more accurate idea of what it might be worth. I think you really need to know that number before deciding what your course of action should be. Let me know!

@Account Closed thanks for your post. My intention was to ask more for the tangible skills but the way you broke it up into both was great. Thanks to everyone willing to take a minute to help me out.

Thanks to everyone that replied here!

Thanks to everyone @Michael Guzik @JD Martin and others that replied and gave me encouragement. I have a better idea of what areas I need to work on now and I'm ready to get to it!

@Scott Morongell

Thanks for the tips. Underwriting expert isn’t something I thought of. Do you have any suggestions on how to develop that skill?

Hey BP! I've been taking some time to think about what skills I need to develop to become a high performing real estate investor and I wanted to get your opinion. In general, what are the three most important skills that make real estate investors successful?

Thanks for your input, I'm curious to see what those of you who have been doing this for much longer than me have to say!

Hey BP! I've been taking some time to think about what skills I need to develop to become a high performing real estate investor and I wanted to get your opinion. I understand that this may differ depending on the type of real estate investing but in general, what are the three most important skills that make real estate investors successful?

I would suggest you check out Betterment. It’s an investment app where you can choose your risk profile and it will automatically invest in a combination of stocks and bonds based on how risky you want to be. I use it to stash my tax money from my tax savings account through the year and set it at a 70/30 bonds to stocks. It stays safe but I see a little growth that way.
