Hi, Jason:  welcome to BP!  I'm a newbie with no actual buying or selling experience yet.  Taking my time learning.  There are others here who I'm sure can tell you a quicker way to get property address, but I can tell you that I recently researched a subdivision here in Houston and eventually got all the owners names and addresses as well as legal description by flipping back and forth between the harris county Tax assessors site, Harris County Appraisal District ...and possibly Houston area realtors...not sure if you have a comparable realtor's site in San Antonio.  HAR is pretty much top of the line, as I understand it for local realtor organization sites.   But I'd say you need at least the name of the subdivision.  Then you can either drive through or look at a map at it on the realtor's site and get the street names.  With that you can probably do a 'contains' search on your appraisal district or county clerk site.  Pick one of the streets in the subdivision, for example, and search for 'contains' 'XYZ Street.'  Now you should be able to get all the homes/land on that street, and the legal description.  You can derive what each subsequent one is in the subdivision once you see the pattern of how it was laid out and in no time should be able to zero in on the one(s) you've seen as owing back taxes.

HI, Lafontant,

It sounds like we have a similar perspective on investing.  I'm wanting to also provide something additional in the properties I sell or rent over and above what tenants may expect.  Love your thoughts on community services. Sounds like you got some great comments and suggestions from other users.  Have you listened to @michelefischer's podcast?  It's definitely inspiring!  I'll be watching to see how you progress on reaching your goals.  Good Luck!!!!

she definitely has a preference for a traditional home vs contemporary.  It would be a challenge I'd think but maybe your best bet would be to show those photos to an architect to see what's possible

hard to suggest changes without knowing more specifically what she doesn't like.  You say she likes 'newer' and it sounds like 2 story, but most 'contemporary' (new in style) are ranch...

A definite Yes on the shutters.  They add a lot to the front of the house.  and you are definitely on the right track with the grey!

good for you for wanting to be sure you're both comfortable!  I agree with others.  Nothing reassures like success.  I think you'll end up somewhere in the middle in timing your deals...but closer to your timeline if u have the success you're planning for

Steve:  let me know what u find out pls as I'm working on a probate deal now and it's frustrating me that the seller doesn't seem concerned about leaving it vacant while she and her sisters decide what to do.  If u get a good lead on an agency it will give me a good reason to poke at her again w the risk and expenses of her indecision.  U didn't mention where your property is but if it's in the Houston area, I'd be happy to be your feet in the ground should u have a need

Hi, Tory!  Oh man I can hear and understand your frustration!  I'm a Long Island girl myself snd when I was living back there again from 2006-early 2014, I was amazed to see what was going on in Bed Stuy.   If u decide to follow @john 

@John Giamundo 'a advice and want to conseder the Houston market let me know.  It is Hot! And I could use a couple of eager partners-- especially a couple who would be sure to appreciate a deductible trip in the winter to check out their investments!  Lol. In any case, GOOD LUCK

Hi, Timothy,

I'm a complete newbie so consider the source, but it seems to me u have no idea if any if these are a good deal without nailing down PRICE and terms, and then  any of them could be a great deal?  

Also, as you said each represents a learning experience especially in the area of negotiating.
