I’m currently looking to buy a multi family home in Los Angeles county and many of them are tenant occupied. My realtor has told me that the Covid Eviction protections are still in place until April 31, and will likely be renewed. Everything I’ve seen on county websites indicates that no fault evictions for owners to occupy a unit are back on as of March 31. Is anyone able to confirm this or not?

Hi all, thank you for this wonderful thread! We stumbled upon it trying to get some more info on whether we can add an ADU to a property we are making an offer on. It is zoned R2, Low Med I density, with a duplex and freestanding garage. We are interested in building above the garage and making it into an owner occupied unit. Based on the current laws, should we easily be able to add a 3rd unit, either as an ADU or just a regular old unit?
