@Ross Denman thank you for these great ideas! I kind of "knew" about the Starbucks trick, but I like the idea about searching within a radius and looking for pawn shops as well! Excellent advice!

Trulia's crime map is extremely useful/helpful when looking up properties in different areas. I live in Indy but not familiar with all of the different downtown neighborhoods, so this is the first place I always look!

Hi @Aaron Laster, My Husband and I just are just getting started with RE investing/buy and hold in Indy as well! We are ready for our first deal,  just looking for the right one for us. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome @Scott Passman! I just moved to Indy ~6 months ago, from Madison WI. I don't know a lot about RE investing in Madison, WI, but if you have questions about areas/neighborhoods or demographics let me know, I lived there for 7 years. On the of the reasons my husband and I moved to Indy was housing prices in Madison are very competitive, so I can tell you that much. I am just learning the Indy market now and there's tons of opportunities it seems like.

I would echo that it depends on where you're looking and what your strategy is. Quality of houses is varied street to street. They have a farmers market weekly and a nice conservatory.

Hi All,

I am in Indy and new to RE investing and would love lender recommendations as well. @Ritch Bonisa and @Mickey Russo can you please PM me your recs! Thanks!
