Do you feel like foreclosures are going to increase in the upcoming months to a year? Here is your chance to hear from 3 top real estate investor, and realtor here local to Sarasota. Bill Howell, Marc Pelletz, and Troy Funk will be discussing how you use foreclosures to build wealth in real estate!

The son of missionary parents, Bill graduated from Riverview High School in 1977. He attended the University of Florida and served as a local Firefighter for 25 years. Bill is Broker/Owner of both Hook & Ladder Realty & 1st Premier International Properties. Since 2007, Bill & his team has completed almost $250 million in sales and has facilitated around 2400 transactions.

During the downturn that started in 2007, Bill aligned himself with Banks, lenders, and others in the realm of foreclosures. Some of his clients were and are Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, Chase, BOA, and many more. During that time, he expanded his company to 12 offices throughout the state of Florida.

Along with running a successful business, Bill is a longstanding member of Bayside Community Church and is an avid supporter of Walking in Love Ministries. As Bill explains, “We change lives in Nigeria by building schools, orphanages, and hospitals. We help drill wells so that children have access to clean water.

Bill’s first real estate investment was a home that he bought in 1980. He sold it to members of his church; almost 40 years later, it is still owned by the same family. Bill credits success to a belief that businesses can continually improve and that community is important: “I believe in the ‘team’ concept of business. I surround myself with people who can bring fresh and new ideas into our model… There is no ‘I’ in ‘team’.”

A father first, Bill has three children and two grandchildren. He is blessed to live in Sarasota and enjoys cooking, and entertaining. He is a fan of the Florida Gators, Dallas Cowboys, and the Baltimore Orioles.

Marc Pelletz is proud to call the Sarasota area home and nearly all of his investments are nearby. To date, he owns over 200 rental properties, and his property management company is responsible for over 600 properties in and around the Sarasota area.

Marc is also a seasoned investor, with over 1000 flips in his career and over $250 MILLION in deals closed. Today, though, Marc is as passionate about teaching and sharing the systems that he and Paul have perfected to create wealth and cash-flow without the stress so many investors live with. In fact, his desire to share wisdom and knowledge so that others can learn and profit in today’s market is his biggest goal today. Whether its wholesaling properties, fixing them up to flip, or creating passive income and financial freedom, Marc is able to show you the blueprint to get started now!

Troy Funk entered the real estate business, after graduating from Riverview High School in 1986.

In his 34 years in the business, he was affiliated with RE/MAX for approximately 16 years before leaving to be the "Mega Agent" that started Keller Williams Realty on the Water in downtown Sarasota. He later became the co-founder of Preferred Shore Real Estate and over a year ago was awarded to be the Broker Owner of Realty One Group for the Sarasota market. He is currently expanding his company into the Tampa market.

He has sold over 100 properties a year, multiple times and has owned up to 18 rental properties at one point. In his personal time, he enjoys volunteering and living a vegan lifestyle.

Roofs are one of the more exspensive items on a rehab, this week we have Davidson Lunger joining us to discuss alternatives to replacing asphalt shingles. Flippers and landlords alike will not want to miss this REI Live Updates!

Roof Maxx founders, brothers Mike and Todd Feazel, started a roofing business in 1988 and spent the next 25 years building it into one of the largest and most successful in the United States. As you can imagine, they learned just about everything there is to know about roofs during that time. They also watched the industry grow and change, including the way asphalt shingles are manufactured.

Changes in oil refining started to reduce the amount of asphalt available, causing costs to skyrocket and shingle manufacturers to include less asphalt. That meant less of the natural oils that give shingles the flexibility to withstand the elements over time. Today, that means asphalt roofs don't last as long as they used to. (Search the web for “class-action roofing lawsuits” to get a sense of how bad it's gotten out there.)

Now we're proud to be roof preservers.

Mike and Todd sold their roofing company in 2013 to focus on roof sustainability. They researched new technologies that could extend the life of a roof and help prevent the need to prematurely replace it. In the process, they came across some incredible new advancements from the world's largest private research and development company, Battelle Laboratories. It wasn't long before Roof Maxx was born.

Keeping asphalt roofs alive and well.

As shingles age, they start to lose their natural oil and become dry and brittle in the process. That's where Roof Maxx comes in. Our soy fusion technology soaks shingles in all-natural bio-oil that restores their flexibility. This allows asphalt roofs to withstand changing temperatures and extreme weather like a new roof would.

Davidson Lunger owns a 19 office RE/MAX company in DC, Maryland & Virginia. For 25 years he was also a full time Sheriff's Deputy while running the world's # 1 RE/MAX company. After a serious accident and long term rehabilitation brought him to the wonderful Sarasota climate to recoup, Roof Maxx Technologies asked Davidson to be the dealer for the greater Sarasota & Manatee areas. Having built many successful companies, Davidson realized the incredible potential of the first affordable alternative to total asphalt roof replacement.
