Post: Portland Eviction Moratorium Experiences?

My tenants stopped paying rent in March entirely, and started paying 1/2 rent in September. Just recently got a couple checks from Pdx-based non-profit groups that are assisting renters with back rent, but they still owe about 7k in back rent at this point.  I’ve been paying the full mortgage out of savings and my own pocket. The moratorium is written so I can’t do anything to get them out, even after all these months... c’est la vie.  It’s been a good rental property for years so I consider it all part of the game.

I have a large single family house in inner NE Portland that I would like to put under property management. Any recommendations for a property manager?  Thank you!

I learned today that Kate Brown extended the eviction Moratorium in Pdx for another 3 months. My tenants haven't paid rent since March and say they will not pay rent again until October... What  options do we have as landlords to recoup lost rent?  I know that the ordinance says that tenants are required to repay past rent, but I'm thinking they're going to bail on the 17K that they are going to owe me.... I support many tenant rights laws, but this is ridiculous.  No requirement for evidence of lost income?  No repayment plan required? No partial payments?  6 mo of no income and I still have a mortgage to pay!
