Checking to see if anyone can help me with a Fair Housing Act question..My son and his girlfriend applied for a 2 bedroom apartment in Atlanta. They were denied the 2 bedroom, but offered a one bedroom "since they are a couple". They are already in a 1 bedroom in a different building, and wanted more space. Is this a legal reason to be denied??

I would like to be a part of it! I am looking to buy my first investment property in the next few months. I'm a licensed agent, but work primarily as a RE photographer.

Anthony,  the real estate photography business has become incredibly oversaturated with photographers.  I'm hearing that from colleagues all over the country. it's also a dying profession at the same time, as cell phones are taking better and better photos and videos.

@Thomas S, I actually never said that's all the money we had, I said that was my tax savings. I have not done a good job saving for taxes and I want to make that amount grow.

I'm new to this forum, so I don't know how to answer people directly. So.. Kevin, I have a drone and a 3D Matterport scanner. Nathanial, that is something to think about, thank you! Joseph, my credit is great, and stocks are okay, but not what works for my plans. Lawrence, thank you for the good advice.

Why would you assume I do not make a good income? I have been very successful at real estate photography for 10 years.  My husband has a  IT job  making a great income.  Some of you seem to have made a lot of assumptions about me, based on the fact that I simply want to grow my tax savings, LOL.

The IRA is a good idea, thank you. Yes I am trying to figure out how I can use my 10 years as a real estate photographer, and 15 years as a licensed real estate agent, to my advantage as I start to plan my next career as a real estate investor.

I'm just of the mindset to grow my money instead of put it into a low interest bearing savings account. Real estate is the best way to grow money, I think that's why we're all here! I appreciate all the good ideas. I just don't have any credit card debt, and I am getting ready to retire from Real Estate photography to go into investing. I definitely don't want to put any more into that.

  1. I don't have any credit card debt. I was just trying to think of a way to increase my tax savings before April 15th comes along. Of course I will continue to add to it, but money just sitting in a savings account is dead money.
