Post: Credit Unions, Lenders for First Time Long Distance Homebuyer

Hi all,

I'm aiming to purchase rental properties in the Milwaukee, Appleton and Green Bay areas. I have family out in Green Bay and love the area.

I want to put an offer in on a property in Appleton tomorrow and would greatly appreciate any recommendations for credit unions and lenders in these areas for first time long distance homebuyers and investors. I know I qualify but as mentioned, I am just starting my personal portfolio.

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Hi all,

I'm currently looking to build a team in the Green Bay, WI area as I'm aiming to invest there. Would love to connect with any fellow investors in that area. I'd also appreciate any recommendations for my team (realtors, GC's, etc.). I have family out there so I will be visiting soon and would love to meet up in person. :)

Thanks!

@Will Barnard Hi Will! I honestly just want to get my boots on the ground and learn. Happy to help in any way I can simply to learn the flipping process hands on. Are you available to hop on a quick call this week to discuss?

Hi everyone!

I'm a new realtor based in the Westside (Los Angeles). I'm also a newbie investor and wanted to ask my BP fam if any of you know when I should disclose to another realtor that I'm a realtor when looking at properties to flip? For example, I found a property on a website that listed no address and I just wanted to take a look. Do I need to tell her I'm a realtor before even getting the address?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi BP Fam!

I'm curious if there are any short term rental investors who live in my area (Los Angeles, 90066 area)? I'm located on the westside near Marina del Rey and Venice Beach. I'm currently renting out a backhouse/studio but short term rentals have definitely caught my eye. My family lives in the front house.

I could almost double my current income if I were to turn this studio into a short term rental as I'm so close to the beach and located in a nice area. However, does anyone in the area have experience with this? What does a bad month look like? Do the pros outweigh the cons?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! This question is out of pure curiosity as my current tenant is on a one year lease but if/when he decides to move, I'd love to double my income. However, I also want to make sure I still have my time freedom. I'm aware that there are additional stresses that come with short term rentals.

Thanks!

Kasey
