The tax rates vary depending on area. There are some great neighborhoods in League City that do not have MUD districts and keep the rates lower. There are also PIDs so you really want an agent that knows where to buy. I would be happy to help.

Thanks @Whitney Breedlove. I am aware that property taxes are high. But I finding how that is calculated to be a bit confusing. Is it based on the independently assessed value by the county or the sale price of the house?

Zillow, Redfin have different values for property taxes with $107 difference based on the same purchase price.

Hi,

I am looking to make an out-of-state SFH rental investment around the Houston area. I came across some SFH in League City, Texas. Numbers based on Zillow (house cost and rental value) works for me. Schools were also good.

I would like to get some thoughts on vacancy rates in that area.
