Invest Beyond Multifamily invites you to our Fall Conference on Commercial Real Estate Scaling from October 11th to 13th in Cincinnati, OH. This three-day event will be packed with strategies and stories of success and failure from industry experts who have mastered the art of scaling their commercial real estate companies. You will also have a guided property tour to see what unicorn deals look like firsthand. Lastly, there will be countless networking and social events throughout the three-day conference.

Our curated lineup of speakers includes some of the most influential leaders in the industry:

 1. Joe Fairless - Managing Partner of Ashcroft Capital: Joe is a pioneer in the CRE industry and has $3 Billion of assets under management. He will reveal the key principles he used to grow his empire and how you can apply them to your own projects.

 2. Nate Barger - Real Estate Entrepreneur: Nate is a visionary and a master of scaling. He went from being bankrupt to retiring in three years.  Nate started with single-family houses and apartments and now purchases hotels and develops buildings.

 3. Ash Patel - Managing Partner of Invest Beyond Multifamily: Ash has scaled his CRE business and has taught countless others to do the same. He will share difficult lessons learned and help you avoid many of the mistakes he has made.

During the conference, we will deep dive into topics such as:

· Identifying unicorn commercial real estate opportunities

· Overcoming common challenges when scaling your business

· Financing strategies for larger commercial projects

· Building a strong network of industry connections

· And much more!

This is just the beginning! The first 100 people to register will get the exclusive opportunity to participate in a full-day commercial property tour. The tour will take you to successful properties owned by our managing partners and mastermind members.  You will see industrial, office, mixed-use, and flex on this tour.  You will see the real-world numbers and repositioning of these assets.  There is no other Commercial Mastermind Conference that offers this type of learning.

Quote from @Jewel B.:

BiggerPockets has a variety of great books for different types of involvement in real estate. You might also consider taking a course and getting a textbook as if you were studying for a real estate license.

I never even thought of pretending to study for a real estate license. It would be a great way to learn all of the foundational information I need.

Hey everyone,

I am a soon-to-be grad with a bachelor's degree in marketing and I have accepted a position with a Real Estate investing firm. The problem is I don't know much about real estate and I was looking for some recommendations of good books to explain the basics of residential real estate. Thank you in advance for your recommendations!

Quote from @Bonnie Griffin Kaake:

@Karna Patel  Add value to your job and your investments by getting to know the incredible tax benefits available to commercial real estate investors. Cost segregation is just one of those benefits. Another is the 2014 Repair Regulations, also known as the Tangible Property Regulations (TPRs). The TPRs are very complex and offer tax benefits that are most often overlooked.

Bonnie as someone who has just dipped their toes into this vast ocean of knowledge that is commercial real estate, this is exactly the type of information I was looking to learn more about. Thank you so much!

Find a tax advisor who specializes in real estate and tax planning. Work with them year round to discuss your goals and changing tax profile

I will look into one in my area. Thanks for the advice, Chris!

Quote from @Paul Moore:

Hi @Karna Patel! Congratulations! Most people start out in residential real estate and many of them eventually "graduate" to commercial real estate. You are very wise to start off in commercial real estate from the beginning.

A lot of the answer will depend on what kind of company you will be working for and what you are passionate about. It's likely you will learn a lot of things on BiggerPockets and from books and podcasts that you might not hear at work. You got a lot of great advice above. Feel free to DM me to jump on a call to discuss this further.

I am so thankful that I had a mentor that steered me toward commercial from the start. I have heard that the headaches in residential really help you appreciate commercial real estate investing though.
I have been told the BiggerPockets community is one of the best real estate resources you can find and I can not disagree so far. Everyone is so helpful and kind! I would love to jump on a call sometime I will DM you right away.
Thanks for your comment, Paul!
