Hi Pat:

I greatly appreciate your comments comparing the two locations and agree with everything you said about management as well as location.

I am still getting my feet wet with the BP site and and the information overload, but will keep you in mind for properties in AZ. BTW: I spent some time in AZ, first at Ft. Huachuca, then at the UofA in Tucson. Had some fun times dancing in Phoenix.

I am new to BP and starting to work my way through the volume of information and tools. I am near retirement from the 9-5 and would like to diversify into rental properties. Thinking about Pittsburgh PA to begin with because it is my back yard. Open to any suggestions/partnerships/recommendations, etc. So far this seems like a great community. Looking forward to taking the leap.

Thanks, Savannah.

I appreciate the offer and will definitely use it as I work my way through the information and calculators on the BP web site. I can see that there is going to be information overload for a while until I get hang of the real estate world.

How have you done out there in Austin? How long have you been buying rental real estate?

Thanks, Nick.

I just signed up for BP Pro and am getting my feet wet with the information.

I appreciate the offer to help evaluate any loan products when I get to that point. I will certainly take you up on that offer.

Thanks again, Nick.

Hello to the BiggerPockets community. I'm Karl Szymanski from Pittsburgh PA and I am new to real estate investing. I have owned my own homes in CA and in PA. I am looking to get started with real estate investing right now. Any place in the US would work. I am thinking I would like to start with a duplex/triplex/quadplex but I am open to your suggestions.

I really enjoy making money and have been in technical sales for more than 30 years. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and spent 4 years in the military prior to that. I was married for 31 years but lost my wife to cancer in August of 2024. I enjoy getting together with people with similar interests for dinner or even just coffee.

I am excited to see what I can do with this new endeavor and excited to meet new and interesting real estate investment colleagues.

I say #1 or #3 also. Does not make sense to loose the light in order to add a cabinet.
