Do you know how microwaves began being used to kill termites?

It all started when a dilemma within the pest
industry began to occur during the late1980s.
The public was becoming more and more health
conscience educated about the real hazards and
lethal medical risks associated with even the
smallest amount of exposure to toxic
elements. Demand for non-chemical
alternatives or all natural means of
treatment had become clearly apparent,
as a growing public need to be fulfilled.
New technologies needed discovery in
order for the pest industry to fulfill these
new customer needs

1. No proven non-toxic termite treatments available.

In the early 1990's the only means of non
chemical alternative treatment available to
the pest control industry for replacement
of whole structure poison gas fumigation,
was long term franchise agreements for
the use of an electrocution method or
costly sub contracting of other
experimental treatment methods that
were not available for lease or purchase,
i.e. heat or freeze methods.

2. Public demand creates necessity to invent.

Frustrated with the limited choices available,
Two California termite control firms with
combined years of professional knowledge
in fumigation as well as termite control,
Jointly set out to develop a safe, effective,
practical and affordable termite treatment
procedural method that could kill termites
within inaccessible wall and void areas of
structures with out the use of tents,
poison gas fumigants or lethal toxins. The
results of the two termite companies
combined efforts gave birth to the first
commercially available microwave termite
device treatment system.

From 1993 until retirement in 2003, The
California Termite and Pest control firm I
worked for used a Microwave termite
treatment system exclusively. I can recall
prior to it's use we were performing 20 or
more whole structure fumigations per month
with a running subcontractors monthly
expense of on average $20,000. We would
charge the consumer double our sub
contractors expense to make a profit while
other national franchisers were charging
three to four times the sub contractors
expense.

Upon implementing the use of the microwave
treatment system the company immediately
sold and performed approximately 80% less
whole structure fumigations. That lowered its
monthly sub contractors expenses from
$20.000 to $4000. Company revenues
increased by $16,000 in the first month.

From the beginning of the System use we
monitored its effectiveness closely. Month
after month went by and we found treatment
callbacks to be about equal to that of the
fumigations we had previously performed.
The company was flabbergasted and amazed
with the treatment results.

There were times when I personally felt
a little guilty charging the same for a
Microwave treatment as I would a
fumigation, had it not been for the customer
thanking me for performing a non poison gas
treatment alternative which also had so
many other benefits like not killing their
plants and no overnight leaving. Their
treatment reinforcement satisfaction quickly
turned my thoughts of guilt to pride with an
everlasting respect for the efficient
microwave, no poison gas treatment system.

For all of the 10 years I was employed at the
firm during the microwave system use, I can
honestly say it’s use must have saved at least
one human life and it definitely saved
customers millions in overnight lodging
expenses and/or roof damage because a
fumigation was not performed. Furthermore
it rewarded the company I worked for and
the sales employees in the form of higher
profits and commissions due to its successful
use instead of poison gas fumigation.

A Termite firm working without a microwave
treatment system is like a home without a
microwave oven. It can get by without it by
just continuing to poison gas the termites and
the atmosphere in the old school costly way.
However, once used and owned, they’ll
wonder how they ever survived without it.
Just my short comments on the microwave
treatment system I worked with daily for
10 years.

Shhhhhhhhh A little secrete from an old timer.........
From a bag of water conditioner salt rock place some on top of the soil or within a trench and back fill with earth or pack salt rock granules into 1/2 inch round holes drilled 6" apart through concrete 4" away from foundation footings along area of noted termites entering structure, plug drilled holes afterwords. Be Safe Treat without poisons. Waterborne salts are commonly used to control ground termites.

Have you ever heard of a microwave treatment process used to kill termites?

Well if you haven’t heard, It has existed since1994 and if you have heard something about it, then you may be interested in hearing about some of it’s finer qualities.

(1) How Do Microwaves Kill Termites?

Quite simply by cooking them within their living habitat similar to the way one heats up a cup of coffee in a microwave oven.

(2) At what heat temperature do termites die?

Microwaves when applied to termites that are living within generated microwave penetration range are heated quickly to a scientifically proven lethal heat dosage rate of 128 degrees Fahrenheit or 53.5 Celsius.

(3) How long must they be exposed to lethal heat range?

Dry wood termites surrender to rapid thermal death when exposed to their established lethal heat temperatures for as little as a 5 minute duration period.

In Conclusion:
Microwave treatment of termites is becoming more popular because of the benefits attained from no poison gas or toxic chemical usage. Public demand for alternatives to old School high risk poison applications continues to grow and become a major treatment concern.

Microwave application as used to kill termites is truly the wave of the future here today. It's advanced research development and increased use as an alternative to lethal poison gas is anticipated to continue to be a public growing favored preferred treatment decision well into the future.

One major benefit of microwave termite treatment use in lieu of whole structure poison gas fumigation is that deaths from poison termite gas exposure will occur less often period.

Pirtleville? Yea Mexico you got it right, One mile from Auga Preita Mexico at Douglas U.S. border.

Lived in Calif until 2 years ago.
Nothing special other than forced economics lead to dump every thing before suffering any losses. No secret free enterprise dictated. Sorry.

Land is $1000 an acre here. Lots of fixer uppers. Also lots of drug runners.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

The Microwave Treatment system is used to kill drywood termites that live in the wood always. Normally treated at the structure source. Commonly treated by tenting and gassing.

FOOD GRADE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH will work on ground termites (subterranean) above ground were visible but it will do nothing to kill the entire colony. The queen lives as deep as 60 feet down. The diatomaceous earth dehydrates the termites similar to boric acid. You can spread it out on the ground in dry areas which will create a termite barrier and prevent termites from passing through it. To control an entire ground termite colony at the source try buying the least expensive bait steaks at your local hardware store they will kill the colony just follow the label and use the diatomaceous earth in conjunction, I say least expensive because they all contain the same ingredients so why pay a premium.

There is finally an answer to, “ Is there a way to Kill my termites without tenting my house and filling it with poison lethal gas?â€

Realty owners no longer need run the risk of poisoning, death or health injuries associated with poison gas treatment of their homes for termites. The device, system and technology is available online.

A safe and sane proven microwave treatment device process is now available worldwide. The piece of mind answer to harsh and lethal use of poison gas.

There is no longer any excuse for property owners to pay for and allow the tenting and gas poisoning of their properties just to kill a few termites. There is also no excuse or reason for residence and their families to put themselves at risk of pesticide poisoning or even death just to kill a few termites. What’s more important?, a families life, health and future or killing a few termites?

Spread the word that poison termite gas applied inside any human dwelling is no longer needed to control termites. When a termite company insists that poison gas is the only option available to kill a termite colony then beware and prepare to shop elsewhere. If they convince you that you and your family will be safe and at no risk, then don’t forget to at least ask them if any humans or pets have been killed by the poison gas they intend to use and if an antidote for the poison is available should you or a family member become ill anytime after the treatment. You will be surprised to find out that numerous human and animal deaths occur annually from direct as well as indirect exposure to all types of poison gas used in termite treatment. Additionally, there are no antidotes for these extremely hazardous poisons. They are so lethal that persons contracting to have their home treated, must first review and sign a detailed written legal disclaimer that discloses the high risk dangers of its use.

I'm here as a retired volunteering expert in structural wood destroying pests and organisms. I have not done any investments since dumping everything 3 years ago. Should have put it all in gold then. I have decided to join several forums to share knowledge and learn anew. I look forward to socializing with you all.
