Have you used Matthews & Perlo carpet SP 300? What is your opinion on it? Does it hold up well?

Carpet padding - 6Lb 7/16" Rebond carpet pad - is that standard?

There are things in life that you can't control-market corrections is one of them. Concentrate on the things you can control-your savings rate, how much leverage you have, etc.

Brian Adzadi I don't think it's a good idea. You are taking money AND the potential growth of that money out of your 401(k) account. Why not contribute up to the employer matching level then save the rest to get started?

My husband's argument was that the business of the LLC was RE, and so it should be allowed.

Prior to purchasing our first rental property my husband and I took a course to learn the ins and outs of RE.  Our CPA says we can't deduct the cost of the course since it wasn't education for our main jobs.
