Going to kind of hijack this but I'm looking for a loan around the same amount in Georgia. Anyone have any suggestions?

@George Despotopoulos

Hi! Yea I figured. I am definitely going to do 20-25% down but I actually was looking for low amount loans (under 30k) which they offer.

But ok thank you very much!

Seems like a great deal but usually what seems too good can't be true? Curious if anyone has tried.

Thanks!

@Brandon Ellis Yes I've heard that and I think I found a credit union that may help out but need to speak to them on Monday.

I don't know that I'll have enough properties to do a "package" but I did want to see if others have tried this and had success? Or if they failed what happened.

Thanks!

Hi!

I've found some properties that I can buy for around 20k or so and noone will lend me for that amount so it'll have to be a cash deal.

Question is, if I buy it in full will I be able to borrow against it? HELOC or just an equity loan for such a small amount? Has anyone done this? I'd love to hear some experiences, pros and cons, etc....

Thanks!

HI just starting out and found some places I'd like to know a bit more about in Harrisburg but I'm out of state (NYC) so not sure who to reach out to.

Any recommendations of newbie investor friendly agents and/or PMs please?

Thank you!

edit: saw that other post but there didn't seem to be much of an answer so hoping a new discussion may help... sorry and thank you

@Michael Lewis Lee Thank you for the response! I will definitely be asking about all of that. Would an owner really know about the beam type of foundation? And what difference does it make if a garage is attached or detached?

Thanks!

There seems to be a lot of information about what kind of property is better for investing, what methods should be used, what the numbers should be, and the such but I'm having a hard time finding information about what things to look out for when at the property (or looking at pictures on the sites) and what questions should be asked of the agent/owner?

From my newbie eyes, some of the properties I see on zillow, redfin, trulia, etc seem ok? Minor touch ups may be necessary but nothing deal breaking I would think. But I'm pretty sure I'm missing a lot. And if I go to the house I'm sure it'll be clearer but I'm thinking there are other things to look out for?

As for the questions, what are questions I should definitely be asking to make sure everything is in order? Am I allowed to talk to tenants if they're present? Am I allowed to ask for proof that the tenants are paying properly and on time?

If there's a guide somewhere I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

Sorry for the (probably) dumb questions

Thank you

Hi!

I'm live in Queens and work in the city. I'm totally brand new so it'd be awesome if I can join, if thats ok. I'd probably ask a lot of dumb questions though. I don't have anything yet but looking out of state right now.

Thanks!

@Scott Passman Ah ok thank you for the response! I was thinking/hoping there was a way to look it up and examine/analyze it but actually making those phone calls are a great idea.

Thank you very much!
