I’m new to real estate buying as I only currently own two properties. I am eyeing an abandoned/vacant property nearby. I have researched the property and from what I can find, the owner died 4 years ago. I’ve looked on the county’s property tax inquiry, it’s listed the 2020-2023 property tax years as “property taxes sold”. I’ve been able to find the buyer of the property taxes information. How do I acquire this property? I’ve asked a few local realtors but haven’t had much luck. Any help would be appreciated!

I am able to find the investment company (I assume) that purchased the taxes and found their contact in for. How would I go about acquiring this property? Any help would be appreciated! I’ve talked with a few local realtors who haven’t been super helpful. Central Illinois.
