Hi @Alan Lambkin glad to know that the Worcester multis are viable and can generate income. I am interested in multis and have been researching the Worcester area for my first acquisition. What I am finding is that there are quite a bit of them out there and I need to dig deeper (with the help of an agent possibly) into some of them and see which ones make sense. Your post is very encouraging :)

@Mike Hurney, will definitely check out Mike Lacava not sure how to yet... but I see @Amber Ponte has reached out to him as well. @Paul Timmin, @Dmitriy Fomichenko thanks a lot for the great info and links, wealth of knowledge there to keep me busy for a while. Amazing how this treasure trove of info is all here and accessible!! Like the saying goes 'right knowledge=money'

@Amber Ponte small world it is, same experience @ FF seminar this past weekend led us to BP. I am yet to do a flip myself and although I am interested in Multifamily I wouldn't mind a flip if I came across a good deal. On the two family project was that a complete rehab or cosmetics/spruce up? I used to leave in Dallas, TX and there it was easy to find a handy man at a good cost (some times right outside Home Depot) and they were reliable and did excellent work. I am not sure if the same is true in MA, I guess I will find out. Apart from using your own funds, what other hurdles have you run into with the rehab? Have you thought of partnering with another investor with $$?

@Kristopher K, yes I will be looking in Worcester and beyond... in search of the diamond in the rough :)

I have some keywords setup and I continue to update them.

Thanks guys, I am thrilled to be here and I hope to meet you all at some point. I will definitely look into attending the Black Diamond. Alan I don't think you missed much this Saturday at the FF event :)

I am also interested in wholesaling so am willing to network and learn more about that...

Thank God for Google... Yesterday Saturday 30th August at 9 am I attended the Flipping Formula free investor session at a local hotel. Suffice to say before the end of that session,  I was certain there must be a better way to Real Estate investing and that seminar was NOT IT!!! So I got home and Googled FF reviews and that is how I learned of BiggerPockets and I have been on here taking it all in since.  Sorry I had to digress and get that off my chest, now let me get on with the intro...

My name is Josh and I am from Holden, MA. I work as a Systems/Application Developer (in my professional life). I have owned some SF properties in the past and been a landlord in the process (with no strategy). My RE goal is to gain financial freedom by investing in income generating multi-family properties. I want to acquire my first multi-unit property in the next 12 months.  I would like to meet other investors (in the area and else where), network and learn Real Estate investing the RIGHT way!! Did I say Thank God for Google? Yes I think I did above... :)
