@Mason Hickman Thank you, is there anything that determines the "majority" of my time though? I fully intend on keeping 1 unit for myself but want to visit home as often as legally possible. Does that make sense?

I understand the basics requirements of creating a primary residence but dont see clarity on what actually constitutes the majority of the year spent there. Are there specific guidelines that specify "majority" equals 183 days? 9 months out the year? For context, I am looking to owner occupy a 4 unit out of state and want to travel back and forth to visit my wife. Thank you in advance.

I do not want to be negative but I do not see the benefit to this article. It doesn't really highlight any strategy or tools used to guide newer members like myself. I am very happy for your success.
