Cody, Thanks for the insight. We definitely will keep those items in mind. Furnace is a great point and one item that I know I personally don't have an eye for. The rest I can gauge well, and will look closely at.

I agree knowing the neighborhood is crucial. Luckily we live in an the adjacent development and know the market / area very well. 

As for the real estate agent, he brought the deal to us. Said it’s a great first property. We’re very excited and again thanks for the feedback I will for sure use all your advice. 

Hello! My wife and I are looking to start flipping houses (we’ve been discussing it for over a year). We see our first prospective property this Friday. What advice do you all have for first timers?
