Cody, Thanks for the insight. We definitely will keep those items in mind. Furnace is a great point and one item that I know I personally don't have an eye for. The rest I can gauge well, and will look closely at.

I agree knowing the neighborhood is crucial. Luckily we live in an the adjacent development and know the market / area very well. 

As for the real estate agent, he brought the deal to us. Said it’s a great first property. We’re very excited and again thanks for the feedback I will for sure use all your advice.

Hello! My wife and I are looking to start flipping houses (we’ve been discussing it for over a year). We see our first prospective property this Friday. What advice do you all have for first timers? What general items do you either look for or runaway from? We’re both terrified and excited to begin this journey.
