Last night I attended a build your life real estate workshop, and they gave a basic seminar. Then they tried to get you to drop 2,800 dollars for a 3 day tutorial/class to be successful in real estate investing. Just curious if anyone has heard of them. We're they just gurus to scam you for your money, or did I just miss a great opportunity?

@waltercorriea thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

@waltercorriea we are interested in buying a single family or even a multi family, if we was able to find one that fit in to the budget that we would like. Our debt to income ratio would be right around 15% debt out of our income coming in. So that being said how soon or is there a time frame after acquiring a mortgage, to being able to buy a property?

So, my wife and I are looking to buy a house for ourselves with in the next 6 months or so. But we're interested in buying real estate afterwards. So, my question is how hard is it to get started? If you have just acquired a home for yourself. First and foremost thanks for any advice given.

I am not ready to make a deal or any investments yet, but I am doing research and reading to learn enough to be able to here within the near future.
