Not true that parking garages are owned by REITS or large groups only.  A friend of mine rents a room from a couple who own a few (2  I think) parking garages in Philadelphia, PA. Very wealthy couple.

Would it be wise and worth it to get a real estate license as the first step?

I am interested in the fix and flip aspect of RE Investing. I found an ad on Craigslist, for a company offering loans for fix and flips. Is this an option for someone looking to invest with none of their own money? How can I tell if this could be just another scam?

Yes Ocean County is about an hour from where I am located. I would not mind traveling North.

2012 Silverado extended cab, and a 2007 Malibu. Could not afford a new Silverado at 40k. Rediculous.

I am looking for a RE Investor to mentor me and show me the ropes. In return, I can offer labor help. I have a full size pickup, tools, 2700 psi power washer with 50 ft extension, portable table saw, landscaping tools, hardscaping knowledge, large tiller, a very powerful vaccuum, and more tools.  My main issue is getting over the fear hump. I joined BP last week.
