I was franchise hunting a year and a half ago and wanted to own a franchise in a field that I loved... so food, travel and of course real estate.  Homevestors was a no-brainer for me when comparing all of the options.  Good luck!

I'm with RBC and easily got a US credit card with them based on my Canadian credit.  TD does the same and I wasn't aware of BMO but I guess they do to.  If having physical US branches is important then TD would be the preferred choice.  Good luck!

@James Williams I took a similar path and ended up giving up engineering altogether for a career in real estate investing.  Bought a homevestors franchise and am just wholesaling now with plans to add in rehabs down the road.   You've got lots of options with $100k to invest.  Good luck, and if you have any questions I'm happy to help where I can.
