Thank you for the recommendations. A follow up question I have is whether you generally need to find a good local agent per market, or if there are good insurance agents that can serve you well across multiple markets. I ask because I am not intending to focus any one market, but to buy property across multiple markets over the years. It would be nice to have one good agent for all of that, but not sure if that's not the way things work.

Hello BP community. I've been reading for a while, but this is my first post. I have SFR under contract that I plan to hold as a rental in Memphis, TN (as an out-of-state investor). In the past I've dealt with the big companies known for homeowners insurance (for primary residence and my one rental), but I keep hearing that as a real estate investor it works better to find an insurance agent that works with investors and can find you the best deals for your rentals. Does anyone here have some recommendations? Thank you,
