if you are still getting this together I am a new investor in the eastern panhandle.  I work in Gaithersburg and would love to attend.

I live in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. I am looking for a real estate investment group in my area. If there isn't a group already established I am interested in starting one if I can gather enough interest. If you know of any in the area please let me know. If you are in my area and would like to be part of please let me know as well. I am looking for all kinds of real estate professionals including realtors, wholesalers, general contractors, investors, and anyone who would like to get together to talk about what we do.

Thanks Jake I appreciate the information.  Can I ask if you did a lien check on the property prior to bidding?  If so, how did you go about this?

Has anyone used online auctions?  How do they differ from courthouse auctions?  What are the hidden costs?

I read the articles and thank you for the links.  These all refer to courthouse auctions. Mare online auction run any different? 

I am a new investor ready to pull the trigger on my first deal. I am getting frustrated with MLS. Can anyone give me pros and coins to auctions? Are there any hidden costs? What If the property is still occupied?

I fel as though I am ready to go.  I have secured a real estate agent, general contractor, and going to get pre approved for a loan next week.  I feel like I have all the information I need and I need to get my feet wet.  If anyone has any last minute suggestions I am open to ALL!
