Thanks everyone for the reply.  @Simon W. Are you referring to using Turbo Tax or a similar software platform?  @Simon W.

Hello everyone,

Ever since I started investing, I've used the same accounting firm I've used since before I began Investing. Lately, I've been wondering if there are CPAs that focus specifically on investment real estate.  Does anyone have any recommendations for accounting firms/CPAs in Illinois or Florida? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 small rehab projects in Tampa, FL. The contractor I've used since I began investing recently had to move. I've tried reaching out to my network for recommendations/referrals and called different companies I found online. I still haven't been able to find reasonable bids for these projects. I was wondering what other strategies people might be utilizing when trying to build a network of contractors and subcontractors? Any and all help would be much appreciated!

You may have already uncovered this in your research, but should you choose to invest in Chicago, you will be tempted with the double digit cap rates and high returns with properties on the south side of the city. As someone new to real estate investing and especially as an absentee owner, I would stay away from those. Feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding investing in Chicago.
