thanks, for all of the good advice

found a smal local bank that will allow me to purchase under the LLC name and then personally guarantee. That with a good umbrella insurance policy should suffice.

I am a newbie and just established an LLC for the purpose of buying single family,duplexes and quads as buy and hold investments. The mortgage broker just informed me that lenders will not finance a conventional mortgage to an LLC, only to individuals. This totally goes against the purpose of the LLC to protect me from law suits . How are you guys financing real estate under an LLC?

I would look to rent out the units and actively mange it myself. My goal would be to get to $750k -$ 1million worth of properties over the next 5years
