How did it work out? REIG seems to be a great vehicle to pool investment funds, but you don't hear about it that much

I’m not an investment advisor, but this is what I found from a quick internet search.
Are investment clubs regulated? Usually not, especially if all members actively participate in investment decisions, and memberships are not bought and sold like a security. State laws may differ.
Investing as a passive investor in a syndication is restricted to accredited investors.
