Ok. Something to think about for sure.

Oh, okay. Just to be clear. If there was a problem with the rental property and we had to replace a $10,000 roof, we just lose that retirement money, there is no recourse to offset the income.

From what I understood, you could transfer a TSP and 401K from previous employers. I thought you could not transfer Roth IRA to that plan

We have recently been introduced to the Solo 401K and are getting ready to switch our other investments over to it.  We are primarily interested because of the ability for property investment.  This brings me to the question.  How are expenses paid for by the trust tax deducted, i.e. roof replacement, plumbing and electrical expenses, etc?
