Does anyone have any experience with these apps? Anything positive or negative. They both offer free trials and the depending on the plan run $97 or $197mo. Is it worth it to jumpstart a new to wholesale and flip business?

Stay away. I did the three day seminar six months ago and left early. It was so thin I could have taught the seminar. It's the prep show to get you into the high dollar program. BP and your local REI Assoc is the way to go.

The heart of the matter with Than Merrill and similar seminars are the crazy prices they charge.  Checkout Ebay for valuable continuing education at a fair price:

It's too bad they do not actually show up at their seminars and provide everything for a fair price instead of turning into a carnival.  You will be hard pressed to find someone say giving them $50,000 was the smartest thing they ever did.

I agree with all of the replies here. I cannot speak for Lousiana but in Arizona we have an outstanding REI association that will provide more real opportunities to learn at such a reasonable cost compared to Than Merrill's stuff. This is a people business and a good REI Assoc will be the genuine avenue for creating lifelong partnerships and friendships. Than Merrill has systematized the business and taken the value of that and literally marked up the cost 2500%! His workshops are kind of sad when you survey the mix in the audience all hoping for a home run miracle to provide the answers to their dreams. If you like Than look for his material on EBay and do your first "wholesale" deal by purchasing it for 20 cents on the dollar! Best of luck. Bigger Pockets and your REI group is the winning combo in my opinion.

No problem. Be sure to post your experience here afterward. . Maybe I'm spoiled from other seminars I liked but I was really disappointed with the  stratospheric pricing to continue with them. Good luck.

I attended the than Merrill workshop seminar last fall in Tucson. Not to be provocative or brag but I've attended a high number of seminars over the years (Keith Cunningham, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, T Harv Eker, and of course the big guy, Tony Robbins); that being said this was arguably one of the worst. It is not even mildly entertaining. It is basically "Fluff 101" to persuade you into a coaching relationship that costs upwards of $35,000 to $60,000. If you are diligent on BP and your local REI club you will have no need for what they're marketing. The only thing they've done is systematize an investors business into some slick turnkey templates and marked up its value by 50x. The crazy irony is that the majority of audience members cannot afford their system and if they could that money could be used to partner up with a trustworthy mentor and start rehabbing or flipping properties right away. Can you be successful with them? Yes. Do you need them to turn the corner? No. I purchased their workbooks on ebay for 10 cents on the dollar. Sort of my first deal purchasing an asset well below market value. If you go have fun but don't fall for the jedi mind trick that you can't reach your goals without them

I paid $197 for the FB Insider's 3 day weekend seminar. I was disappointed. My brief recap is that it was 1/3 common sense; 1/3 motivational mindset material and roughly 1/3 previewing their systems that cost $20,000 to $35,000 to obtain for use.  I don't mind paying for a refresher course but I was aggravated that so much time was spent on their high priced systems such as their rehabbing templates (which appeared very impressive) only to find out that it was all or nothing in the Mastery course to be able to utilize what they presented. If I had an extra $20,000 I would partner up with one of my real estate buddies that have 100+ units and shadow them on the deal. Just way too much time and fluff for $197. The best part is that I realized I know more than I thought. The worst part was wasting my time. This workshop is of value if you are literally just starting out and honestly have very little knowledge of the business and there is nothing wrong with that. I am grateful I found BiggerPockets!
