I am in search for a CPA to add to my team and would love to hear some your recommendations!

I am soon to be leaving my current employer for an employer without 401k. Is it possible to use that 401k money to purchase a new investment property?

Quote from @David M.:

@Joshua Minatel

I suppose what do you mean by "pay yourself?" As a member or perhaps sole member of "your" LLC, you transfer funds from your LLC's bank account into yours and notate it as an "owner's draw" or just "draw" (the reverse is a contribution). Unless you elected to be taxed as C Corp, from an accounting/tax standpoint everything is a pass through. Whether the funds "sit" in your LLC's bank account or yours, your tax liability is the same. Taking a "draw" is to protect your corporate veil, which is a legal matter.

If you want to generate a "reportable income," you would setup to actually pay yourself a wage or salary.  Its usually better to sign up with a payroll company to make sure all the necessary withholdings are performed and issue you a W2 or 1099.

Is that what you are asking?

 I believe that would answer what I'm looking for! Much appreciated to everyone's help!

I'm no where near making taxable income. At most is about $300 a month. However, any profits I am making, I want to pay down my HELOC which is under my personal residence. I feel I'm a long way away from any S Corp type of business. Slowly but surely right?!

Being a sole member LLC, what is the best way to pay yourself and not be in legal or tax trouble? All of my properties I buy are under my LLC.
