@Deryck C. Assuming financing is equal and the amount to pay off is equal, I would pay down the high cash flow first. This will allow you to “snowball” your payoff of both properties faster. In addition, there are tax advantages to both, but again assuming your goal is simply to pay off your mortgages, the snowball method would be the best.

@Clark Smith I would like to chat with you sometime about your experience, specifically did you see an increase in occupancy during Covid compared to previous years. The seller is only able to provide me with a profit statement for 2020 and only her Airbnb May-Sept so I am starting to pull back on the deal.

@Marc Afzal a little late to the post. I’m guessing you have already sold?

@Clint G. A few months late to answer, but if you want to start meet ups I would be up for it. On N. Padre Island.

@Jordan Moorhead, it would be great to talk about the potential. I have a couple I am looking at.

@Jacob Pereira just down the road from port A. Lots of change/growth but that’s been said before, so makes me a little nervous.

@Clark Smith thanks for your response. Do your Airbnb rent year round or do you have snow birds ~Sept- Apr? I have an opportunity for two on padre island but they are split May-Aug air bnb and the rest snow birds rental. Market analysis shows low inventory for rentals. Have you had any trouble filling them? Any concern with too many in a hurricane “zone”?

Airbnb one block from the beach. High growth Texas coast town with 500 billion in investment pouring into the local area. With all the talk of a crash, is it a good time to buy? My thought is all the people moving to Austin and San Antonio are going to want an inexpensive place to vacay no matter the economy. History is good even during COVID for profitability. The price is a little higher but IF the future matches this past summer it will be highly profitable. Newbie so looking forward to constructive advice.
