Also there is the Omaha REIA meetings the third Monday night of each month at 6:30pm. (Which happens to be tonight!) You should come check it out and meet some local investors!

Hey there, I also just found this and I am interested in meeting up if there is still an interest.

I am using VanEd.com for the 60 hour required course for a real estate agent in Nebraska. They offer the program for other states as well, you should look on their to see if they offer a brokerage course. There are also a few other online ones but I don't have any experience with them. I signed up for VanEd and they had the textbooks at my door within 3 days!

From what I have read if you have a VA loan you can get a second tier VA loan for another property as long as it is higher than $144k approx. Depending on your area you should be able to use approx 417k in VA benefits before you need to fill in for the down payment. I am not sure about the deal with your brother or converting your current loan though. My wife and I have a VA loan now and I have been researching similar things so I hope we can get some answers!
