I am looking for insights and experiences with turning a Baltimore City single family row home into a multi-unit property. This is our current 3 bdr residence in SE Baltimore and I could make more money converting it to a multi-unit. What is the process? How likely am I to succeed with zoning?

I have identified a 6 unit apartment building where I would like to house hack. The asking price is $1.5m. I have $40k in savings. What is my next step to get this financed? The numbers make sense once the building is purchased, but I need help understanding the upfront capital.

@Stephen Predmore Thank you for sharing your first buy and hold. It is really helpful to see a local deal broken down and explained. I'm so new at this that it is a challenge to wrap my head around Baltimore City numbers.
