I am so new to all of this, that I don't feel qualified to post my introduction yet! I discovered BP yesterday while beginning my research into REI and have been devouring all of the great info here. I saw that it was suggested to post an introduction, so here I am.

I'm originally from the DFW area, but have lived in Austin for the last 20 years. I work in IT here, but I'm looking for opportunities to fund my retirement beyond what my job will allow.

My home here has some great equity, so I got the idea to look into leveraging it. I think I'm mostly interested in acquiring rentals, but the idea of flipping appeals to me as well. I feel like the Austin market is oversaturated though, so I'm considering looking at other cities in Texas like Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

Really looking forward to learning more and hopefully giving back to other newbies one day as well!
