It was one that we had purchased as a fulltime live in one bed condo.  Our greatest gift in the world came along, making said condo too small at that time, so we needed to move.  At that time the rental market couldn't support the mortgage plus the H.O.A. fees.  We sold it almost 2 years ago just as the market was turning in our favor, but by then had exhausted savings and had some unexpected medical bills from our daughter that forced our hand to sell it and take the small amount of equity we had.

Hi all,

My wife and I have had a rental in the past (we bought a place in Seattle then moved out and rented it as long as we could afford to), and are dipping our toes in the water of doing so again.  We have some major financial struggles to get through first, but are really looking forward to building wealth through buy and hold properties.
