When someone mentions they have a $100 million real estate portfolio, is that what the property is worth in total? Or is that what they have invested into it? Also, how much would a $100m commercial portfolio cash flow every year? Thanks

The big investors such as Ben Mallah, Manny Khoshbin, etc. does the majority of their income come from cash flow or profits from flipping?

 I am just curious about what it would really take to make $10m a year in commercial investing. In particular multifamily and shopping centers. Would most of this come from just cash flow or mostly flipping and making a profit? I know this is very vague but I'm very curious. Thank you!
