I think you are gonna be stuck paying the 4K....or lose your earnest money if you back out of the deal.

Thanks for the info Bill. There are lots of MH in the NW Ft Worth area where I am at but I would prefer to get started in SFR even if it takes a little longer and little more money. I dont want to start trying to decifer the SAFE Act just to flip some MH!

Amen to that Dale. Honesty and integrity are part of my moral core. Having served in the Marine Corps, I can't tell you how annoying/maddening it is when you come across ppl behaving in such ways.

Thanks for your input!

Thanks Buck. I have looked into joining some local REI clubs on meetup.com but havent made the move yet. I like your idea of working with investors and providing expireds/cancelleds, etc. to them in hopes of getting some leads back. I just need to find some to start working with...guess I will check out when the next REI club meeting is here.

Hey everybody,

I have been trolling BP for about a year now and reading everything I can on RE investing. I am a newly licensed RE Agent in the DFW market and need advice on how to get started working with other investors. I would like to be able to learn from some seasoned veterans while also being able to make a small living as an agent until I can purchase my first property.

My long term goal is to be able to own enough rental properties that will cashflow greater than my required income to survive ($3000/month) plus a cushion of cash so I can dedicate fully to investing and not work as much on the retail side of the business.

Any tips/suggestions on finding investors to learn from first hand in DFW?

Thanks
