So this is my plan and was just needing some input as well as if I could offer anyone my services I mean I am active duty and I have two kids but if I could do anything to be of service to someone doing real estate in Bakersfield ca I am not a licensed electrician but I was taught to do electical through the navy and am pretty handy on things so to explain my plan and see if anyone has some advice or think it’s a good plan or just anything that could help me out would be appreciated alright so right now I am about 27000 $ in debt because oof some stupid decisions when I was younger and right now I am slowly clawing myself out so I giveback it about two more year and I will Be out then I will take about three year to save up about 20000 for an down payment on a place hopefully putting about 15000 down and having 5000 for renovations on the property and do it myself to learn the ground level of the brrrr strategy then after I do that refinanced repeat it today but things I don’t know about is the market of Bakersfield and was wondering if I could get some connection before I start

so I just started researching about two months ago I have a wife and two kids I am 23 in the navy have about 2 years left in the service and I am currently 23000 in debt I have looked at all the different methods to get out of debt and am employing them all so far in the last three months have saved over 350 extra every month that i am putting towards that debt so I should be out of debt and get my credit score up so when I get out I plan on starting with a house hack in texas I have been researching alot and was just wondering if there was any suggestion to me that i could do this far out besides reading books listening to podcasts like people to talk to idk just maybe something i could get started even though i still have a while till i get to the point that i could start investing

I am currently in the military amd have two kids and a wife I will be getting out in a year and a half right now I am renting and paying a lot I am thinking about buying a house in California and staying there for the rest of my contract with the Navy so that way I can get my first property to eventually be my first single family rental I want to use the va home loan to do it so that way after I get out  of the Navy I can rent that house out and after I get out stay with my brother up in Washington for alittle get settled into my new job as an electrition while renting that first property out get another property through the va home loan do you think this is a good plan and I am allitle scared to start this process because I am in a decent amount of debt from cars and credit cards and it scares me to put myself in more debt
