Juan and Karen. Thank you for your response. That really helps me a lot. Karen, I trust him. He's been in the business for a few years. He owns his own apartment complexes and manages others. I'm just apprehensive because of how big the risks are. But big risks gets big rewards, right?? Hahaha Juan thanks for the advice of checking out some of the resources on bigger pockets and checking with the community before going forward with a purchase. I will definitely heed that advice and I will be back with updates on my progress! Thank you both for responding!

Hello, First off, it's great to be apart of the community. I'm really interested in buying and flipping real estate, possibly to get occupied by renters or to sell. My cousin, who is a property manager and a licensed real estate broker, has been showing me different properties that are very affordable and urging me to invest. He's given me the advice to get pre-approved from my bank so that I have something to leverage and negotiate a price with the seller. Buy it, fix it, and rent it. Honestly, I'm scared lol! I know he can guide me through the investment possibility but I want to reach out to the community to get some perspectives and advice from anyone who is willing. What are some things to look out for? What can I do to make sure I do this investment as successfully as possible? Any advice is welcomed, as long as it's positive and constructive :)
