Thanks @Dave Visaya and @Dmitriy Fomichenko.

I've been looking around the site for awhile after a co-worker suggested it.  Thought it was time I did an intro.  Have a few keyword alters set and have a couple of the BP audio books I started listening to on my commute.  Trying to increase my level of participation and my knowledge base.

I'm a newbie with one single family purchased on a VA loan in Kentucky.  Currently live in El Paso and planning to relocated to Boise, ID by the end of the year. My goal is to house hack a couple of small multi-family homes in the next few years with the intent to buy and hold. Looking to eventually replace my current W-2 income and get out from behind a desk.  I'm considering getting the next house with an FHA, living in it for at least a year and then using my remaining entitlement for a second VA loan for another multi-family.

BS in electrical engineering from USMA. Like others I realized I didn't want to sit behind a desk.
