@Lamar Wint find someone in California that you can shadow on a couple of flips so that you can have a better idea of how it is supposed to go. And use that knowledge and experience when talking to your contractors in Baltimore. Obviously, the numbers will be different, but the experience will be somewhat the same. Also, start networking with any friends, families, investors in the Baltimore area in hopes of getting a referral. When it comes to contractors I believe referrals are a great way to go.

For context, I have lived in the DC metro area, Arizona, and Missouri. My favorite place would have to be the DC metro area because of the culture, diversity, economy, schools, and overall quality of life. And currently that is where I reside now. But if I were to move, I would be interested in San Diego California, Portland Oregon, or Seattle Washington. I have heard great things about those cities and would love to explore them for myself.
