@Eliott Elias

Great advice. I'm ready for a sub to deal myself.

@Joseph Brown

I can't wait to hear how it goes for you. I really do hope it goes well. Being that it's my first investment property that I'm still looking for, I am shying away from the unknown, but I am very curious. Maybe a year down the line I may have a little better understanding of what it is to be a landlord and then maybe I may take the leap. Hoping it's not too late..

It's funny you ask about the wind port. I was looking into it myself. I saw a quadplex I was interested in making an offer but my agent advised me to stay away from Salem. I really didn't ask why. I guess its because this will be my first buy, rent and hold property. But even if the rents are low and the tenants are trash, wouldn't it make all of it for worth buying into Salem down the line? I mean, higher rents, great tenants, appreciation. Idk. How does everyone feel about this? I would love to hear more.

@David Sisson

Hey thank you so much for that information.

@Ryan Goldfarb

@Jonathan Greene

Hey Ryan and Jonathan

Thanks for responding. I'm sure Atlantic city is a great place for Airbnb. And maybe some of the areas near by. I plan on getting a multifamily property and living in one of the units, so Ive been really looking into the Camden County area because of my job and family. With in the county their are historic towns but I'm not sure it's enough to attract Potential Airbnb guest. But experimenting with one of the units doesn't sound like a bad idea. I just want be sure to have other strategies available incase things don't go well with rent alone.

@Brad Spuhler

Hey Brad,

Thanks for responding. From the research I've done, I noticed there would be some extra work I would have to put in to it if I compare to a long term rental. And yes, I will say it's more about the money than anything else. This property will be my first. So Im just looking for options beforehand incase things don't go as planned.

Hey Bigger Pocket members,

Has anyone tried air bnb over long term rental on a property in South Jersey? I've been wondering if this strategy would work in some of the south jersey suburban areas..i don't know anyone who does air bnb. So I do wonder if it really is more profitable and what kind of problems are expected to come with it. Thanks

@Roberto Filice

Hey Robert, I really do appreciate the comment. I'm pretty sure your right. I guess I really just needed that push. Just someone saying "hey, just go for it"... I'll keep searching for something that makes good on the numbers. Thanks.
