I came across the idea to house hack because I have had the luxury of not paying rent for an entire year and now I do not want to start paying rent again.  I was lucky to get the opportunity to move home for one year and pay my student loan off. I intended to just move at the end of the year and start paying rent somewhere again but started to strategize how I could do better than that.  I don't want to pay rent and paying a mortgage is still forking over money each month, however I want the benefits of buying a home.  And voila, house hacking has been on my mind.  I have ties to Southern Oregon and would love to live there for a while so I am starting my research on the potential success of a house hack in that region.  

Do you have experience with real estate investments in Southern Oregon? Would love to hear your feedback on the market.  

Hey there! Wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge on the rental scene in Medford/Southern Oregon area? I’m looking to house hack my first investment and would love some guidance on this area. Good idea? Not a good idea? Additionally, any recommendations for rockstar lenders and agents in that general area would be appreciated.
