Another sign the Miami Real Estate market is Booming - Swedish home retailer IKEA is soon coming to Miami. The project is already underway and is expected to open in the summer of 2014. This would be the first IKEA location in Miami-Dade. The 417,000 square-foot store will have 1,500 parking spots and will be located next to Dolphin Mall just west of Miami International Airport. Not only is this great news for the local economy, but also for those trying to buy home furnishings and accessories at low prices (think home stagers, first time home buyers, expanding families, and simply those looking for good design and function at low prices).

Who are the international buyers hunting online for property in Miami these days?

The Miami Association of Realtors said Brazil ranked as the top foreign country for consumers searching South Florida properties on its Miamire.com website in February.

After Brazil came Colombia, followed by Canada, Venezuela, Argentina, France, Spain, and Peru.

In January, Miami ranked as the fourth most popular U.S. city to be searched by international consumers on the National Association of Realtors’ website, Realtor.com, behind Chicago, Los Angeles and Detroit.

Hi Will
Welcome to BP. I've been on the site for a short while myself and have found it to be a valuable tool (full of information and great connections). I currently live in Miami (born and raised) - I've been a Realtor here for almost a decade - and have been enjoying the Real Estate market, the weather and all the excitement that South Florida brings. As mentioned before me in other members posts, you are in a HOT market within a HOT area of the country! Again, welcome to BP and would be great to make a connection with you.

Jon Holdman & Raymond B.
Based on personal experience and according to Forbes Magazine and the Miami Association of Realtors, Brazilian buyers are accounting for more than half of all the properties selling for $500,000 or more in downtown Miami, and nearly 50% of all of the million dollar properties on Miami Beach.

Florida is HOT HOT HOT - and I'm not just talking about the weather! February is the 14th month in a row that statewide median sales prices for both single-family homes and for townhouse-condo units increased year-over-year, according to Florida Realtors' data.

Hello all from sunny and warm Miami! My name is Jose Gomez - I am new to BP as a member and currently updating my profile, so feel free to check it out. Just a quick blurb about myself: I'm a full time Realtor, in the business since 2003. I’ve enjoyed the metaphorical rollercoaster ride, from the climb to the height of the market, down through the turns of the market crash, around the twisting bends of the changing industry and back again to the inching ascend. Oh what a ride it has been.

In my first year as a Realtor I was awarded the company’s title of Rookie of the Year and worked my way to consecutively become a multimillion dollar producer. Over the past decade I’ve helped hundreds of people (in both residential and lease transactions). Most recently have become my own customer, as I’m searching for a residence in South Florida. Condo living was great and the view from my apartment on the 29th floor in Downtown Miami was amazing, but I’m looking for a house with a nice yard, something I can put sweat equity in and grow old appreciating.

I can’t wait to meet everyone on BP (from locals, to new connections, new friends and foreigners). I’m looking forward to using this platform to post, read advice, gain and share knowledge. Thanks for reading a little about myself – stop by and say HI.
