I am interested in buying a condo in Playa del Carmen for rental income.  Any tips?  Recommendations on the best resorts to buy a condo?  Any watch outs?

Thank you!

@Matt Mawhinney I just closed on my first property in Pitttsburgh and just started working with MACE.  Haven't signed a contract yet but I've been reading their reviews and they are scathing!  I'm not happy with response times as we set up the contract so I'm not excited about moving forward. Would you happen to have a recommendation for a PM firm?  Otherwise, I'm thinking about just finding a great handyman and handling the rents/utilities myself (from CA).  They are Section 8 units so the rents will come regularly.

My 401k will only allow a "withdrawal" for a 1) hardship or 2) down payment on primary residence.  So I took a "loan" which I have to payback over a period of 5 years - interest, about 5%, goes back into my account and there is an admin fee payment due to Liberty Mutual for the maintenance of the loan.  Better deal than the banks.

@Braden, thanks for replying. Definitely interested in multi-family as well. In fact, that would be my preference. Seems easier to find SFH and I'm starting to feel analysis paralysis.

Super excited and pumped! I've been totally consumed with learning all I can about RE investing (books, podcasts, etc) and now I'm ready. I've landed on Pittsburgh, PA as my first property location. I've been looking at SFH for my first deal and the numbers look good. I'm looking to invest in "B" neighborhoods; but since I've never been to Pittsburgh, I can only rely on what I read on the internet.

Looking for an experienced, reliable and trustworthy RE agent in the Pittsburgh area who can offer expert advice and work with me on my deals.

I am interested in this property.  Is it still available?
