Post: How did you find your mentor?

Hi, this will officially be my first post on bigger pocket. As I begin my real estate journey, there is one thing that I always found difficult. That is, finding a good mentor.

Everyone has always stressed the importance of having a mentor in every aspect of business. However, I find it a bit difficult to find a good mentor that is willing to not only help you, but to also teach and guide you. I understand that you must be able to offer a skillset to that specific person and in return you could slowly learn from them. Offering a skillset is great, but sometimes people could also end up just being used by the "mentor" and not gain anything in return.

My question for you all, how did you meet your mentor(s)?
