If you’re looking to invest in the short term rental market through Airbnb look no further than Columbus, OH.

Our real estate team, The REllis Group at Key Realty, is based out of Columbus, Ohio and we are dedicated to providing you with detailed insight and tips that can help you find the right strategy for Airbnb investment properties in Columbus / Central Ohio.

Unlike other cities, Columbus, OH is considered a silent city, which means there are no city specific laws governing Airbnb rentals. Less red tape, means more money in your pocket. The numbers below outline just how profitable the short term rental market can be in Columbus.*

Our team sold a 3 bedroom condo in a popular area of Columbus, Ohio known as Italian Village located in the 43201 zip code. Similar units in the area historically rent for $1500-1800 per month. Our clients are booking at $225 per night and averaging significantly more than the long-term rental rate. This location is close to the convention center and within walking distance of the short north arts district, both popular places for bars, restaurants and shops. The location also serves as a great place to stay for guests looking to be near the Ohio State University.

This building features 7 studio units, 4 one bedroom units, and 1 three bedroom unit. Current occupancy is 83%. Rents on studios / one bedrooms range from $625 to $1175, depending on layout and square footage. Three bedroom unit rents for $1725 per month. 10 out of the 12 units have been upgraded and feature bamboo hardwood floors, granite countertops, new lighting, new cabinets, new bathroom fixtures, and new appliances. All of the units are flats. Basement features 5 storage lockers, one is currently leased at $70 per month. 6 apartments on ground level, 5 apartments on second floor, 1 apartment on 3rd floor. 2 entrances. One entrance gives access to 8 units and the other gives access to 4 units. Units 22B (studio upstairs) and 18C (studio downstairs) were photographed. 8/12 tenants are billed $25 per month for water.
