I'm in a very similar situation. Does anyone recommend obtaining a formal contract written by an attorney between friends/family?

I'm very new to the real estate investing scene and learning my first step is getting my finances in order. I've been starting to categorize my spending into Brandon's Financial Spending Plan. I have organized my past spending expenses into categories (with way too much fun money) but now would would like to target certain % of my income more effectively.

Would it be something like below?

Saving/Investment: 25%

Giving: 25%

Fixed Expenses: 20%

Variable Expenses:  20%

Fun Money: 10%

With each fluctuation a small percentage month to month.

Help!
