Thanks everyone so far I'm really loving the support. I plan on utilizing my VA loan with a no down on a multifamily and like Grant said live in one and rent the other out. Since the VA regulation states I have to reside in the home for a year before I can rent both units out, I will then save my "non-existent" or very little mortgage since I have a renter and use that money as a down payment using the FHA loan on another multifamily property. At the same time my short term goals are to get established and gain some experience in whole selling.
Any advice on how to get started in whole selling? I understand the concept and realize that marketing to motivated sellers is a big part of the process, I plan on reaching out to people currently flipping homes and networking with cash buyers.
