@Ashish Acharya

Thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it.

So if my mortgage was originally 150k I paid off 20k and sell for 200k is my net profit 50k and I could roll that into the 1031?

I am selling one of my properties and want to do a 1031 exchange

If I have a mortgage and a home equity loan do I pay those off and anything left would be my profit to put in to the 1031 so I don’t pay tax on it?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Good Day,

I go by Jon,

I am just getting started in the real estate investment world. I am in Hawaii and want to invest in an apartment building. Any advice on how I can do this would be great.

I don’t have money for a down payment and I can’t get a mortgage right now but I don’t want to miss out on a good opportunity.

Thank you in advance for any help.
