Conquering Chaos in Your Field Service Business: How AutoOps Can Be Your Hero

Imagine this: a disgruntled customer calls you, furious because a noisy technician woke their child during a recent service call. Now imagine facing a lawsuit because you missed a crucial compliance requirement. These are just a few nightmares keeping field service business owners like you up at night.

Recurring service issues stemming from a lack of standardized procedures.

Unhappy technicians dealing with unclear pay structures and disputes.

The constant threat of legal and financial trouble from non-compliance.

You wear many hats, and there just aren't enough hours in the day. You deserve a solution that empowers you to focus on what matters most – running your business and delivering exceptional service.

Post: Applying for short term rental permit

Is there any update to this?

We just closed on a property in Chattanooga Tn with the intent of operating as a STR -- 2 days after closing, the city stopped permits. After being grandfathered in, terrible neighbors, whom we contacted before closing letting them know we would be operating STR, came out of the wood work to petition the city to deny our permit. They won.

We are looking at Morgantown as a suitable place to operate again, because we have family in the area and would like a place to stay as our own when we visit.

I have only found the general guide from WV at the state level seen here: https://tax.wv.gov/Documents/T...

The more data points a system like Airdna has the more accurate it is. Even then you should always verify/adjust the numbers based on your own research.

Also, every STR market has different historical occupancy rates. For instance, in Pigeon Forge prior to 2020 the average occupancy rate was around 70ish percent. The average occupancy rate over the past 2 years is above 80% and there is little reason to think this will go down in the foreseeable future.

Yea, I totally get this.  The question is more general of, what are the worst occupancy rates as an experiential example.

I did some more digging, the lowest rate in any market that airdna/mashvisor service is 16% with the highest being north of 90%.  This is the range I'm trying to gauge a median.

I looked specifically for this I couldn't find it. Thanks for the link.

When looking at an str what's the WORST occupancy rates you calculate/entertain?

How accurate are online calcs like Vacasa/airdna.

were looking to roll profits from out flip into a down on a short term rental to keep money velocity going high while looking for our next flip.

We are in Lincoln.  Like all markets it's finding the deals.

My wife and I are coming out of our first flip with a 150k upside. -- deals are there if you look.

The most difficult piece is capital to flip in this area.  Home prices are high and only going higher.   Alot of pocket areas that can throw off comps as well.  We always have to double check comps with a drive through/by of the neighborhoods around it.

There are plenty of lenders that don't require experience.  We just completed our first.  The lenders were more curious of our numbers than anything else.  You may just pay a slightly higher rate.

Why Lowes? Go jump on Craigslist. There's always a cabinet distributor with stock on Craigslist
